ABCB published NCC 2025 on 1 May 2026, and every jurisdiction has gone its own way since. Victoria is fully operative on the new edition. The ACT and Western Australia let you elect either edition until 1 May 2027. New South Wales, Queensland, and Tasmania (which adopted, then reverted five weeks later) stay on NCC 2022 until 1 May 2027. South Australia split the code — plumbing on NCC 2025, building on NCC 2022. The Northern Territory isn’t adopting NCC 2025 at all.
